I Smell Food!

Every time I smell food in the kitchen, I get up and dance! I can even walk around a bit on my hind legs, trying to get at the food the humans keep on the counter.

Too bad I am so short...

But sometimes they drop food, and I am always ready to help clean the floor!

Buddy & the Brush

I've got the evil brush! No-one is going to be able to brush me now. I HATE being brushed! I stole it when my human tried to brush me. Then I beat the brush into submission. Just TRY and take it from me now. I will growl at you!
I am holding the brush hostage until I get more dog food!

Going to the vet means extra food!

Going to the vet was fun! I met a new friend, and we had a good sniff.

Then I had to sit and wait my turn.

But after the vet took care of that nasty tick, he gave my human something called "anti-bi-o-ticks" and said I had to take them 2 times a day, for 5 days - because my skin got infected by that nasty tick.

When we got home, my human gave me a nice piece of cheese, but there was a yukky pill in the middle? Too late, I swallowed it.

But I was smart the next time she gave me the cheese, I just ate the cheese and spit out the pill. She tried covering it with steak sauce. But I just licked it off.

The next day, I guess she felt bad, because she gave me canned dog food 2 times a day. For four days, I got some good dog food - for breakfast AND dinner. Wow, going to the vet was a great idea - all this extra food!

But here it is 6 days later, and there's no more canned dog food for breakfast???

What happened?

I knew it was too good to be true...

All that wonderful food.

All the extra cuddles.

When I woke up today, all the extra humans were gone.

All the food put into that cold box.

And all I could do was stare at it when they left the door open.

No more special food...
No more extra cuddles...

But I'm still hungry!

It's Turkey Day!!

Oh, the smells! There is food cooking, wonderful food cooking! My humans are making food, all sorts of food, and all my favourite humans are here to hold & cuddle me and give me food!

I don't know what's taking so long, my top human has been in the kitchen cooking all day long. I smell turkey, potatoes, stuffing, gravy. They are killing me with all these wonderful smells, but no matter how many times I go into the kitchen and whine - no one gives me any of the food.

All the extra cuddles helps though. And their promises to feed me under the table!

No Pizza for Buddy!

It's Friday night and dinner time for the humans. They are eating pizza in front of that noisy box thing. I wait patiently.

I already had my canned dog food tonight. But sometimes the other human gives me a small piece of steak or something, when they are done. So I watch their plates intently, waiting and hoping.

But they finish, and there's nothing left! I keep waiting, hoping. I check their plates, I look sad at them. But no-one is noticing that I am starving here!

So I hop down from the couch and go over to the other human, and I cry. He just looks at me, "What's wrong?"

So I cry some more, but still there's no food offered!

Well, there is nothing left to do but jump up on his lap, and sulk. I am starving and no-one cares...

Did I finish all my food today?

I love dinner time. That's when they finally feed me the "good" stuff! The canned dog food. Sure, I could eat the dry dog food in my dish any time, but the canned food is what I get really excited about! Mmm...

By 5:30 PM, I start reminding my humans it's dinner time. I don't know why they don't eat then, I'm hungry - it's Dinner Time! Sometimes I stand over my dry dog food and pretend to eat it, so they get the idea that I'm hungry. Doesn't usually work, but maybe one day they will understand me.

Finally they get the dog food can, and put some in my bowl. I gobble it up in just a few seconds and then go check if they are offering any more. Then back to my bowl to see if I forgot any. I always go back and check one my bowl more time before bed-time - who knows, I might have missed some food!

They have a special little room that they keep all the cold food in. If someone leaves the door open, I run right over to look at all the food. I don't know why they try to palm off that boring dry food on me, when they have so much food in storage? I wish I could get some of their food!

My human caught me looking at the food last night, and asked if I was still hungry? I bounced around and wagged my tail! Yes, Please!!
